Alas, I have found my answer and I am notpleased with it. It seems, and I have to admit rightly so, that if you betray you lose all contact with your opposite aligned diety. The only thing you keep is probably the altar and cloak. I am not even sure if those continue to work. Here is the ongoing discussion concerning it on the EQII forums.
