Windows 7 build 7100 RC

For those technogeeks out there Microsoft has released free to the public customer preview of windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) build 7100. So far Toukai, Kiala and I are running it and it seems pretty dang stable for an operating system still in development. The preview is free to download and run in 32bit or 64bit flavors. It will be free to use until June 1, 2010. I'm running the 64bit Ultimate along with 64bit java, 64bit ventrilo client, eq2, eq2maps and have only had to do a few workarounds to get everything to run without issue. If you are running an nvidia vid card there is a 64bit vid driver available from nvidia website designed specifically for windows 7 and is whql certified. Note: only use the 64bit version of the vid driver, ventrilo client and java 6 if you are running the 64bit version of the OS. (64bit capable cpu required) Download here:
